CFAO publishes no head office telephone number and no head office street address. What it does publish is a single group mailbox and a directory of more than 100 dealerships across all nine provinces. If you are hunting for a corporate switchboard, it is not on the site. If you need a specific dealership, the directory is complete and carries a number, an address and opening hours for each one.
Official contact channels
- Group enquiries: [email protected]
- Dealerships: the find a dealer directory on cfaomobility.co.za, searchable by location
No head office number, no street address and no postal address appear on the about page or anywhere else. The contact link on the site resolves to the dealer directory rather than to a corporate contact page, which is a fair indication of how the group expects to be approached: through a dealership rather than centrally.
One caution when working from that directory. At least one listing in it carries a malformed telephone number, short of the digits needed and without a recognisable dialling code, which cannot connect. If a number there looks too short, check it against the dealership own website before relying on it rather than assuming a typo on your side.
What this organisation provides
CFAO South Africa Group is not one company but several, each performing a distinct function across the automotive value chain: manufacturing, import, export, leasing and retail. That structure is the reason a single head office number would not help most callers even if one existed.
CFAO Mobility is the retail arm, running the dealership network that sells new, used and demo vehicles with finance and aftersales support. The dealerships operate under several vehicle brands rather than one, so the network includes Ford and Toyota branded outlets among others, which makes it a multi-franchise group rather than a single-marque dealer chain.
CFAO South Africa is a different business again: a supply chain management and production assembly specialist serving the South African automotive industry. Its published services cover:
- Production parts procurement, customs clearing, warehousing and distribution, logistics and parts assembly
- Steel material sourcing, metal recycling and steel sheet processing
- Plastics raw material procurement
- Consumables and spare parts, machine installations, agency distributor business and engineering business solutions
- Vehicle logistics management, and post-production accessory fitment and conversions
A parts procurement enquiry and a used car enquiry therefore belong to different companies inside the same group. Saying which you need in the first line of an email to the group mailbox saves a round trip.
Address and operating information
No head office address and no corporate operating hours are published. Opening hours are published per dealership in the directory instead, alongside each address and number, and they differ from one outlet to the next.
That makes the directory the practical starting point for anything physical. Search by location, take the hours from the individual listing rather than assuming a group standard, and confirm before travelling, since dealership hours commonly differ between sales, parts and the workshop within the same premises.
Support and escalation routes
Go to the dealership first for anything concerning a vehicle, a sale, a service or an invoice. It holds the contract and the records, and the group mailbox will route such a query back down rather than resolve it. Use [email protected] for group level matters, for supply chain and business enquiries, or where a dealership has stopped responding.
Keep in mind that a franchised dealer is a separate business from the vehicle manufacturer whose badge it carries. A warranty or product defect may involve the manufacturer as well as the dealer, and establishing which of the two you are actually in dispute with determines who can resolve it.
Where neither the dealership nor the group resolves the matter, the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa handles disputes between consumers and the motor industry, covering dealers and manufacturers alike, and sits outside both. For a purely consumer services complaint, the National Consumer Commission at [email protected] is the route once a final answer has been given.
