Toyota South Africa publishes no dedicated warranty telephone number. Warranty is administered through dealerships, so a claim starts at a dealer rather than at a call centre. The numbers Toyota does publish across its ownership pages are roadside assistance lines.
Official provider route
- Roadside assistance, South Africa: 0800 022 600 or 0800 139 111
- Roadside assistance, Namibia: +264 83 380 0174 toll free, or +27 11 799 1640
- Roadside assistance, Botswana, Eswatini and Lesotho: +27 11 799 1655
- Warranty claims: through any Toyota dealership
Product or service support
The roadside numbers above appear in the site header on every Toyota page, including the warranty pages, which is why they are easily mistaken for warranty numbers. They summon assistance for a breakdown. They do not open a warranty claim.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Toyota lists several distinct warranty products rather than one: a manufacturer warranty, a genuine unlimited warranty, and a genuine pre-owned warranty unlimited. Which one applies depends on the vehicle and when it was bought, so a dealer confirms the cover against the vehicle rather than against the owner.
Escalation route
A warranty dispute a dealership does not resolve can be taken to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa, which covers both sales and servicing complaints in the motor industry.
