Midas stores are franchises, and the store numbers people search for belong to each store, not to Midas head office. Midas’s Store Locator page (midas.co.za/store-locator-midas) currently shows no store list, and its older individual store pages now return “page not found”. We could not verify any store’s address or phone number from Midas itself on 19 September 2026, so none are listed here.
What Midas does confirm is which stores exist. The store list on its battery registration form includes Mount Edgecombe Midas, Dobsonville Midas, Rosettenville Midas and Wellington Midas. About Midas
Midas describes itself as the largest automotive aftermarket parts franchise in Southern Africa, with over 300 stores. It also has a presence in Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini and Zimbabwe. The brand is supported by Parts Incorporated Africa, a division of Motus Aftermarket Parts. It has 8 distribution centres and over 150 000 part numbers, and says it aims to supply parts the same day or within a reasonable time. More than 1 000 employees support the franchise in marketing, product management, franchise support, logistics and supply chain. Stores sell vehicle parts for all makes and models, plus tools and accessories, to workshops and do-it-yourself customers. The site footer names Motus Aftermarket Parts as the owner.
Midas battery registration and warranty requests
If you bought a Midas battery, Midas asks you to register it online so there is a record of the purchase. The form asks for the battery serial number and product code, your name, email address and phone number, and the store where you bought it. For other product warranty claims, midas.co.za has a Warranty Requests form. If you cannot complete a form, customer care on 086 036 7463 is the published fallback. Midas also sells gift cards, and you can check a gift card balance on its website.
Servicing your car at an independent workshop
Midas’s About page summarises the Competition Commission guidelines for the automotive aftermarket, in effect from 1 July 2021:
- When buying a new vehicle, you may choose to buy service and maintenance plans from independent approved providers.
- You may use any repair shop during the warranty period and keep the warranty.
- Vehicle manufacturers may not make warranties conditional on servicing within their own network or on their own branded parts.
- Manufacturers must make technical information and training available to authorised and independent repairers.
This matters when a dealer tells you that parts from a store such as Midas will void your warranty. Under the guidelines, repairs may use matching-quality replacement parts as well as original parts.
