iQ Academy is a South African private distance-learning provider offering short courses and qualifications. Everything below was read from the iQ Academy contact page on 31 August 2026.
One thing to note before you write: the website is iqacademy.ac.za but every published mailbox uses iqa.ac.za. A reply from that shorter domain is genuine.
Official contact channels
- National call centre: +27 87 086 6065
- WhatsApp: 021 819 3496
- General email: [email protected]
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 19:00, Friday 07:00 to 18:00, Saturday 08:00 to 14:00
Those hours are unusually generous for a South African education provider – open until 19:00 on weekdays and on Saturday mornings, which suits distance students working full time. There is no Sunday service.
Admissions and student support
iQ Academy splits its contact by department rather than routing everything through one desk, and using the right mailbox is the difference between a same-week answer and a forwarded message:
- Admissions: [email protected]
- Registrations: [email protected]
- Student administration: [email protected]
- General student support: [email protected]
- Accounts and fees: [email protected]
- Certificates: [email protected]
- Short course results: [email protected]
New enquiries go through an enrolment advisor via the form on the site, and iQ Academy separates new students from existing ones at the top of its contact page. Its Student Services team handles student accounts and general support once you are enrolled.
Have your identity number ready when applying, and your student number once enrolled. For a results or certificate query, quote the course name and the month and year you completed it – the certificate and short course results desks are separate, so say which you need.
Campus and address information
- Address: 57A Western Avenue, Vincent, KuGompo City, 5201
Vincent is a suburb of the Eastern Cape city formerly named East London, so older directories and courier systems may still show that name for the same address. This is an administrative office rather than a teaching campus – iQ Academy delivers by distance learning, so students do not attend in person.
Escalation routes
Raise the matter with the relevant department mailbox first, then the national call centre, keeping a written record and a reference. With a distance provider your email trail is the only evidence you will have, so follow every call with a short written summary.
iQ Academy publishes its registration status: iQ Academy (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2006/033114/07, registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private institution.
That matters when choosing a course. Private providers offer both accredited qualifications and non-accredited short courses, and the two are not equivalent when an employer checks your credentials. Ask in writing, before paying, whether the specific course is accredited, by which body, and at what NQF level. Keep that confirmation with your certificate.
Where an unresolved complaint concerns registration or accreditation rather than service, the Department of Higher Education and Training and the Council on Higher Education are the correct destinations, quoting the company registration number above. For a course paid for as a consumer, the Consumer Protection Act applies and the National Consumer Commission is the escalation route.
