Motheo Contact Details

Motheo District Municipality no longer exists. It was disestablished on 18 May 2011 and its area is now covered by three different authorities. For Bloemfontein, Botshabelo and Thaba Nchu, the authority is Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, whose call centre is 0800 111 300 and whose account address is enquiry@mangaung.co.za. Motheo TVET College is a separate organisation and is covered below. We checked this on 24 September 2026.

Two things are worth noting. The WhatsApp line is marked text only, so do not try to call it. And 0800 111 300 is genuinely toll-free, which matters for reporting a water leak or an outage.

The email address is specifically for account enquiries, not for service faults. Faults go to the call centre.

Where the rest of the old district went

This matters if you are outside Bloemfontein, because Mangaung is not the successor for the whole of the former district.

Motheo District had three local municipalities, and when it was disestablished they went three separate ways:

Mangaung became the first metropolitan municipality in the Free State, which is why it now answers directly rather than through a district.

The municipal website has a broken address

A small but real problem that will make the metro look offline.

The plain address mangaung.co.za resolves to a private internal address that cannot be reached from the public internet. The working address is www.mangaung.co.za, with the www.

If you typed the address without the www and got nothing, that is why. Add it and the site loads normally.

Motheo TVET College is a public technical and vocational college with its head office in central Bloemfontein and campuses across the Mangaung metro and the southern Free State. These details were taken from the departmental register and last confirmed on 5 September 2026.

Write to the office of the principal at the head office address rather than to any individual’s mailbox.

Two websites that are not the college

This is the most important warning on this page, because both addresses look plausible and one of them carries the college’s real telephone number.

motheofet.co.za, the address listed on the departmental register, is a parked domain advertised for sale. It is not the college’s website and never resolves to one.

motheotvet.co.za looks far more convincing. It loads a full website, and it displays the college’s genuine telephone number. But it is not run by the college. Its own footer reads “© 2023 Colleges Portal”, its text is generic filler about education “in a supportive Bloemfontein context” rather than anything specific to Motheo, and it carries a “Change Location, find awesome listings near you” widget. It is a third-party directory sitting on the name.

Why this matters: a site that is not the college cannot be relied on for application dates, fees, banking details or campus information, however official it looks, and nobody at the college is responsible for keeping it correct.

Phone 051 406 9300 and confirm anything that costs you money or a deadline. Never pay registration or application fees into an account taken from a website you cannot confirm belongs to the institution, and be particularly careful during application season, when fake college pages multiply.

A public TVET college is funded through the Department of Higher Education and Training, so if you are unsure whether you are dealing with the real college, the department’s own college listings are the place to check rather than a search result.
