Paarl Magistrate Court sits at three further places besides its own building, including a municipal building in Paarl itself, so the court address alone does not tell you where a matter is heard.
Official contact channels
- Court: 021 872 3127
Services and responsibilities
The court serves the Drakenstein sub district in the Cape Winelands. It records Franschhoek, Groot Drakenstein and the municipal building at 60 Breda Road in Paarl as places of sitting, alongside the usual criminal, civil, maintenance, domestic violence, childrens court, child justice, sexual offences and small claims work.
Office and address information
The court is on the corner of Market Street and Bergrivier Boulevard, Paarl, 7622, with post to Private Bag X5003 at the same code. The department spells Franschhoek as Franchoek in its own record.
Applications and escalation
Because one of the sitting venues is a municipal building in Paarl itself, a Paarl matter may still be heard away from the court. Check the summons for the venue rather than assuming the Market Street address.
