Where is SANTS located?

If someone offers to help with a SANTS application or payment over WhatsApp, check first by calling 0800 872 687 or emailing support@sants.co.za. Never send ID documents or money to a WhatsApp number you cannot confirm on sants.co.za.
SANTS banking details and fees
SANTS’s contact, FAQ, application and funding pages do not publish its bank account details. To get the correct banking details for your application fee or tuition, contact student support on 0800 872 687 or support@sants.co.za, or check your MySANTS account and any official invoice. Be wary of banking details sent from an email address that does not end in @sants.co.za.
SANTS’s How to Apply page says there is a R250 non-refundable application fee, paid before you upload proof of payment. SANTS payment options, according to its FAQs, are two ways to pay tuition:
- Option 1: two equal tuition instalments per semester, due 31 March and 31 August.
- Option 2: ten equal monthly instalments, payable at the end of each month.
SANTS’s funding page shows an example of a R2 500 annual registration fee with instalments of R9 768 per semester or R1 954 per month, but it notes these are only average examples, and costs are subject to change. Students who need a different payment arrangement must contact SANTS before the semester starts.
According to SANTS’s FAQs, the tuition fee includes all study material, assignments, tuition, examinations and access to a student portal. The cost of each course is shown in the Our Qualifications section of the website. When you contact SANTS about fees or a payment, quote your student number (or ID number if you are still applying) and attach your proof of payment, so the finance team can match it to your account.

How to apply to SANTS
SANTS’s application process has four steps: provide your personal details, select the programme you want to study, upload certified copies of your ID and highest qualification (and any supporting documents), and pay the R250 application fee and upload proof of payment. SANTS says you will receive an email, notification and SMS confirming your admission once all steps are complete. For help with an application, email support@sants.co.za.
SANTS online application form and proof of payment upload
The SANTS online application form is at mysants.sants.co.za/apply (the Apply Now link on sants.co.za). You upload the proof of payment for the R250 application fee inside the online application. SANTS has two intakes a year: January (applications close 31 October of the previous year) and July (applications close 31 May). The application support email address is support@sants.co.za.
SANTS admission requirements
- Bachelor of Education (Foundation or Intermediate Phase): NSC with admission to Bachelor degree studies with 50% Home Language and 40% English First Additional Language, or an equivalent Senior Certificate (pre-2008) exemption, NCV Level 4 with 70% for languages and 60% in four vocational subjects, or a completed Diploma in Grade R Teaching.
- Diploma in Grade R Teaching: NSC meeting the minimum requirements for Diploma studies, a completed Senior Certificate before 2008, or NCV with at least 50% in three fundamental subjects.
- Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education: NSC, Senior Certificate, NASCA, NCV Level 4 or an appropriate Level 4 ECD certificate, or RPL equivalence.

SANTS says it offers flexible distance learning for students who work full-time. It is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution until 31 December 2028, registration number 2012/HE07/003.
