Why the Fairmont details still circulate
Search results still return Fairmont pages for this resort, which is why so many people arrive at the wrong contact route. Two things are worth knowing.
- Fairmont’s own site no longer serves a Zimbali property page. The old address for it now sends you to Fairmont’s global homepage instead. The deep links that still appear in search engines are stale index entries rather than a live listing.
- An email address at the fairmont.com domain appears on old listings for this resort. Treat it as out of date. Correspondence about a stay at Zimbali should go to [email protected].
- Third party travel sites are the slowest to update. Several still show the resort under its former name, sometimes with the former branding and current pricing side by side. The name on the listing is not evidence of who runs the hotel.
Zimbali is an estate, not a single hotel
This is the second common source of misdirected calls. Zimbali is a large coastal estate that contains more than one place to stay, along with private residences and a golf course. A booking that simply says “Zimbali” does not by itself identify the hotel.
