Chery South Africa distributes the Chinese manufacturer’s SUV range through a franchised dealer network. The contact details below were read from the Chery South Africa website on 2 September 2026.

Official contact channels

Customer care and roadside share the same 010 number, with a second 086 line published for roadside only. If you are stranded, either roadside number is the one to use – the shared 010 line is not a separate breakdown desk.

What this organisation provides

Chery South Africa distributes the SUV range, supports the dealer network, and runs customer care, roadside assistance and the MyCheryCare plan. It also publishes an approved panel beater network.

MyCheryCare is administered by a third party, and that is the detail worth knowing. Its claims mailbox is on myautocarenow.co.za – Auto Care Now – not on chery.co.za. So a service plan or warranty claim goes to a different company from the one that sold you the car, on its own number, and Chery customer care cannot adjudicate it. The external domain is correct, not a phishing sign.

Use the approved panel beater network for accident repairs. Repairs done outside an approved network can affect a warranty or plan claim, which is a common and expensive surprise.

Address and operating information

Chery South Africa publishes no head office street address and no customer care operating hours. Dealer addresses and hours are listed individually through the dealer finder.

Roadside assistance is by nature a round-the-clock service, unlike customer care. Save the roadside number before you need it rather than searching for it at the roadside.

Because no corporate address is published, request it in writing through customer care for any formal correspondence.

Support and escalation routes

Route by type. A service booking, a fault or a warranty repair starts at the dealer, with the VIN and job card number. A service plan or warranty claim goes to MyCheryCare on 010 900 2147. Only escalate to Chery customer care when the dealer has not resolved it.

A vehicle defect appearing within six months of delivery is covered by the Consumer Protection Act, where the choice of repair, replacement or refund is the consumer’s. That statutory right sits alongside the manufacturer warranty rather than being replaced by it – worth knowing when a plan administrator declines a claim.

If unresolved, the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa adjudicates consumer disputes with the motor industry at no cost. A declined service plan claim may also be a short-term insurance matter for the National Financial Ombud Scheme, depending on how the plan is underwritten. Vehicle finance disputes go to the National Credit Regulator.
