Eastcape Midlands TVET College runs a head office and nine campuses across three Eastern Cape towns, and unlike most colleges of its size it publishes a direct number for nearly every one of them. Calling the campus rather than head office is the faster route for anything to do with a course, a registration or an examination, because the campuses are administered separately and offer different programmes.
Official contact channels
- Head office: 041 995 2000
- High Street Campus: 041 995 2250
- Park Avenue Campus: 041 995 2901
- Brickfields Road Campus: 041 996 1800
- Thanduxolo Campus: 041 995 3500
- Heath Park Campus: 041 405 1450
- Grahamstown Campus: 046 602 4100
- Middle Street Campus, Graaff-Reinet: 049 807 1292
- Woeke Street Campus, Graaff-Reinet: 049 807 1200
Charles Goodyear Campus is the one exception. Its page carries no campus number at all and prints only the head office line, so a Charles Goodyear query goes through head office on 041 995 2000 rather than to a direct number that does not exist.
The college names a campus manager for each campus and gives each an individual mailbox. Those are deliberately not listed here: the posts change, and at least one is currently held in an acting capacity. Ask for the campus manager by role when the campus number answers, which reaches whoever holds the post today.
Admissions and student support
Applications run through the How to Apply and Apply Now sections of the college site, and the college also offers free career guidance for anyone not yet certain what to enrol for. Funding applications go through the DHET TVET Colleges Bursary Scheme, which has its own published route separate from the application itself.
Teaching is organised into three streams: Business Studies, Engineering Studies and Occupational Studies. What matters when you call is that the mix differs sharply by campus. High Street carries marketing, finance, economics and accounting, and tourism. Heath Park runs bookkeeping, management assistant and marketing coordinator programmes. Woeke Street offers trades including bricklayer and electrician alongside early childhood development. Middle Street carries human resource management and management assistant. Brickfields Road runs early childhood development.
That is the practical reason to ring the campus rather than head office. A programme offered at one campus is not necessarily offered at another, and head office cannot enrol you into a campus programme on the phone. Two other processes are worth knowing about before you need them: the college publishes a formal deregistration process, which is the correct way to leave a programme rather than simply stopping attendance, and a separate process for applying for a certificate or diploma once you have completed.
Campus and address information

- Brickfields Road Campus: Brickfields Road, Kariega, 6230
- Thanduxolo Campus: Bantom Street, KwaNobuhle, 6242
- Heath Park Campus: corner Laurance Erasmus and Standford Road, Bethelsdorp, 6059
- Grahamstown Campus: Saint Aidans Avenue, Grahamstown, 6240
- Middle Street Campus: 18 Middle Street, Graaff-Reinet, 6280

One naming point causes real confusion here. Uitenhage and Kariega are the same town, renamed, and the college uses both names across its own pages: the head office address appears as Cuyler Street, Uitenhage in one place and as corner Cuyler and Durban Street, Kariega in another. Those are one office, not two. Grahamstown has likewise been renamed Makhanda, and a map search under either name will find the campus.
Escalation routes
Go campus first, then head office on 041 995 2000. The campus holds the register, the marks and the programme, so head office will route a campus matter back down rather than resolve it, and starting at the top adds a step.
Beyond the college, Eastcape Midlands is a public TVET college under the Department of Higher Education and Training, so an unresolved complaint escalates to the department on 0800 87 2222 or at [email protected]. The department also runs a career helpline on 086 999 0123, which answers questions about what to study rather than complaints about a college.
Funding is decided outside the college. Bursary outcomes under the DHET TVET Colleges Bursary Scheme are not the college decision to make, so a dispute about an outcome belongs with the scheme while a dispute about what the college submitted belongs with the campus. Examination and certification queries run through the college examinations and assessments process rather than through the campus office.
