Webfin is not a lender and does not lend money to the public. It is a browser-based credit management system supplied by Altron FinTech to businesses that run lending books, so if Webfin appears in connection with a loan, the credit provider using the software is the party you need, not Altron.

Official provider route

Product or service support

Webfin is an online creditor management system that needs no installation and runs in a browser, covering loan management, loan approvals and reporting from any device with an internet connection. It sits in the Altron FinTech credit management range alongside Delfin, Webloans and KwikKadima. Altron FinTech also supplies debit order and point of sale collections, DebiCheck, transaction switching, card personalisation and payment devices.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Because Webfin is business software rather than a consumer product, support is provided to the licensed business using it rather than to that business customers. If you are a borrower and you have seen the Webfin name on paperwork or a statement, your agreement is with the credit provider that uses the system, and only that provider can explain the balance, the instalment or the settlement figure. Ask the credit provider for its National Credit Regulator registration number if you do not have it.

Escalation route

Take a lending complaint to the credit provider first, then to the National Credit Regulator on 0860 627 627, which registers and supervises credit providers and can confirm whether a lender is registered. A complaint about an unrecognised debit order goes to your own bank in the first instance. Ethical or corruption concerns about Altron itself go to the Altron Ethics Line on 0800 205 352, which is run for Altron by an external whistleblowing provider rather than in house.
