Nairtime South Africa is the company behind Cash Advance, the small loan offered inside the Vodapay app. It trades as Xtra Cash, and that is the name that appears on the loan agreement, which is why the contact details you need are not always the ones on the app screen.

Who you are actually borrowing from
Nairtime South Africa Proprietary Limited, registration number 2014/087219/07, trading as Xtra Cash, is a registered credit provider under NCR registration number NCRCP13197. That matters: the company states that every right you have in respect of a Cash Advance loan — under the agreement or under the National Credit Act — is a right against Xtra Cash and not against any other party. Vodapay delivers the loan to your wallet; it is not the lender.
How Cash Advance works
- You must be a Vodacom customer of at least six months and hold a Vodapay Lite Wallet; the app will offer to upgrade an ordinary wallet to a Lite Wallet.
- Vodapay validates your account and wallet before the application can proceed.
- The approved loan is paid into your mobile wallet, and the agreement, quotation and pre-agreement statement are delivered through the Vodapay app rather than by email or post.
Read the quotation and pre-agreement statement before accepting. They carry the loan amount, the repayment terms, the service and other permitted fees, any credit insurance, and the addresses for legal notices — and they are the documents that bind you, not the marketing screen.
If something goes wrong
- Start with [email protected] or +27 11 100 5093, and quote the loan reference from the Vodapay agreement.
- The National Credit Regulator takes complaints about registered credit providers on 0860 627 627 or at [email protected]. Xtra Cash publishes that route itself.
- Credit-bureau listings are handled by SACRRA, on +27 87 701 3254 or [email protected], if the dispute is about what was reported rather than about the loan.
As a registered credit provider Xtra Cash is barred from lending recklessly and states that it is committed to avoiding over-indebtedness. If you were granted a loan without any affordability assessment, that is the specific ground on which the NCR will look at a complaint.
