Ticketmaster South Africa publishes no telephone number. There is no call centre, and there is no public support line. Everything runs through the help centre at help.ticketmaster.co.za, and the route you get depends on whether you already hold tickets.

If you already have tickets: sign in

This is the only route with your order attached, and it is the one that gets a useful answer. The Contact Us button lives inside the order rather than in the site menu, which is why people conclude there is no way to make contact.

If you cannot sign in, or have no tickets yet

There is a general email form for exactly that situation. Ticketmaster lists what it is for: you do not have tickets to an event yet, you need to reset your password, you cannot get into your account, you need help with disability or access information, or you have another question. Use it rather than trying to force the signed-in route.

Three specialised forms

Refunds are the event organiser’s call, not Ticketmaster’s

This is the single biggest misunderstanding. Ticketmaster is the ticketing agent. Whether a cancelled, postponed or rescheduled event is refunded, and on what terms, is decided by the event organiser or promoter. Ticketmaster processes what the organiser authorises. So “can I have a refund” often cannot be answered immediately, and pressing the agent will not change the answer — the decision sits elsewhere.

Buy from Ticketmaster, not from a stranger

Ticket fraud is heavy in South Africa and works the same way every time: a sold-out event, a seller on social media or a classifieds site, a screenshot of a “ticket” and a request for an EFT. A resold ticket may be a screenshot of a barcode that has already been scanned, or that the original buyer can still cancel. Ticketmaster supports ticket transfer between accounts — if a seller will not transfer the ticket to your Ticketmaster account and insists on sending you an image, walk away.

Before an event

If it is not resolved

Keep the order number and the correspondence. A consumer dispute about a ticket purchase can be taken to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, and a card payment you did not authorise should go to your bank immediately, because the chargeback window is short.
