Tile Africa head office
Tile Africa does not publish a single walk-in head office address for customer queries, so a query that needs a physical counter should go to a branch. The store finder publishes a separate landline for every branch rather than routing everything through the national line, along with that branch address and trading hours.
For anything that depends on what is physically in a particular store, such as whether enough of one tile batch is in stock to finish a room, phone that branch directly. Before travelling for a specific tile, confirm the batch as well as the product, because tiles from different production batches can vary slightly in shade and a top up bought later may not match.
Tile Africa customer care number and email
Customer care sits on 011 455 2607, and online orders, deliveries and account queries can go to care.online@tileafrica.co.za. Use the 011 number and the online care mailbox for orders placed on the website. When you write about an order, have your invoice or order number ready so the query can be matched to the sale.
Tile Africa branches and trading hours
Trading hours are set per branch rather than nationally, and are published against each store on the store finder along with that branch address. Tile Africa trades from branches across South Africa and runs an online store, so the store finder at tileafrica.co.za/find-a-store is the place to check a specific branch before you set out.
What Tile Africa sells
Tile Africa is a national tile and bathroom retailer. The range covers floor and wall tiles, indoor and patio or outdoor tiles, and finishes including polished, matt and slip resistant. Tiles are grouped by type as ceramic, porcelain, hard body and natural stone, and by look as wood, cement, stone and marble. Stocked brands include Johnson Tiles and Out of Africa.
The website also carries a tile calculator for working out quantities, an advice centre, a shopping quote tool and a returns process. A separate commercial arm handles project work rather than retail sales, and its enquiries go through the commercial services pages at tileafrica.co.za/commercial-services.
Complaints and where they go next
Start with the branch that sold the tiles, then escalate to customer care on 011 455 2607 or to the online care mailbox with your invoice or order number. If it stays unresolved, a dispute about goods, a refund, a delivery or a cancelled order goes to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud on 0860 000 272, with the National Consumer Commission above it.
Where a tiler or contractor did the installation, workmanship is that contractor liability rather than the retailer, so a cracked or lifting floor may not be a Tile Africa matter at all unless the product itself was defective.
