There is no working GetBucks website in South Africa. The domain getbucks.co.za now returns only a bare server directory listing, with no loan pages, no contact details and no application form. GetBucks-branded businesses do still operate in other countries, such as Eswatini, but those are separate companies and cannot help with a South African loan. Checked on 13 September 2026.

What we could not find

  • No contact page, phone number or email on getbucks.co.za
  • No credit provider under the names GetBucks or MyBucks on the National Credit Regulator’s registered, voluntarily cancelled, tribunal-cancelled or lapsed credit provider registers, in a search run on 13 September 2026

A name search is not proof that a lender is unregistered, because a company can be registered under a different legal name. It does mean that anyone now offering you a loan as GetBucks should be able to give you their NCR registration number, beginning NCRCP, and their company’s legal name before you share any details.

If someone offers you a GetBucks loan

  • Ask for the NCRCP registration number and legal company name, and check them with the National Credit Regulator
  • Never pay an upfront fee to have a loan approved or released. That is the most common loan scam in South Africa.
  • Do not send your ID, payslips or banking login details to a WhatsApp number or email that is not on a lender’s verified website

If you had a GetBucks loan

An old loan does not disappear because the website has gone. The debt may have been sold or handed to a collector, who will contact you. Ask any collector for the name of the creditor, a statement of the account, and their registration with the Council for Debt Collectors before you pay. Your credit report from a credit bureau will also show who currently holds the account.
