What this organisation provides
De Beers Group, with its joint venture partners, employs more than 20,000 people and mines diamonds in Botswana, Canada, Namibia and South Africa. Its only South African mine is Venetia in Limpopo. In July 2026 De Beers announced that it intends to pause production at Venetia for two years to reduce costs, while rephasing spending on its underground project.
