Sumitomo Rubber South Africa publishes a standing scam notice, and it is the reason to be careful about which Dunlop contact details you use.
The company says people and institutions are offering employment under the Dunlop name in exchange for money. It states that it recruits only directly or through reputable agencies, and that neither it nor an agency acting for it will ever ask for a fee, banking details or other sensitive financial information as part of recruitment.
If you come across this, the company asks you to report it to its Risk division on 031 242 1111, the same head office number.
Practically: a Dunlop job offer that arrives from a free email address, or that asks for a payment for training, uniforms or a placement, is not from Dunlop. Check it against the head office number above before you send anything.
