FAW has two dealers in the Gqeberha metro, not one, and neither of them is FAW. Both are independent businesses holding the franchise, listed under different names in FAW Trucks Southern Africa’s own dealer locator, and a caller who asks for FAW Port Elizabeth will reach whichever one answers. The two Eastern Cape metro dealers
- FAW Eastern Cape, trading as Scribante Concrete – 56 Uitenhage Road, Sydenham, Port Elizabeth. Telephone 087 158 5439. E-mail [email protected]
- FAW Gqeberha, trading as TST Gqeberha – 469 Studebaker Street, Markman, Gqeberha. Telephone 060 976 0845. E-mail [email protected]
The mailboxes tell you what each one is set up for. The Sydenham dealer publishes a finance address; the Markman one publishes a workshop address. If the job is a repair or a service, Markman is the better first call; if it is a purchase or an account, Sydenham is.
The nearest alternative
FAW East London, at the corner of Millard Road and Settlers Highway, East London 5201, on 082 293 9855 or 043 736 3538, is about 230km away and is the next dealer in the province. The e-mail address published against it belongs to a named individual and is not repeated here.
Head office does not sell trucks
- FAW Isando, head office and dealer – 45 Brabazon Road, Isando, Kempton Park 1600. Telephone 087 700 2904, [email protected]
- Head office trading hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:45, Friday 07:30 to 16:00
That is a Gauteng dealer and the corporate office at the same address. It sets warranty policy and runs the dealer network, but a Gqeberha service booking made through Isando will simply be sent back down to the Eastern Cape.
The factory in the same city takes no calls
FAW assembles trucks at Coega in the Eastern Cape, and in August 2026 the company announced that the plant had built its 25 000th locally manufactured vehicle. It is a manufacturing site, not a customer-facing one, and it publishes no public number. A Gqeberha buyer is dealing with the dealer, not with the plant a few kilometres away.
Three things to establish on the first call
- Ask whether the dealer is sales and service or one of the two only. FAW’s locator filters on exactly that split, and it varies by site.
- Ask which model families they stock and support. FAW’s range runs from 2.5-ton freight carriers to 6×4 truck tractors, tippers, mixers and refuse compactors, and not every dealer carries every line.
- For a fleet or a warranty dispute, ask the dealer to give you the head office contact in writing rather than looking for it yourself.
