Fundi Loan Contact Details
For a Fundi loan, call Fundi’s call centre on 0860 55 55 44 or email support@fundi.co.za, the address Fundi names for questions about its loan disclosures. Applications, the loan calculator and your existing loans are all at loans.fundi.co.za. Fundi’s reception is on 011 670 6100. Fundi publishes no separate loans department number and no call centre hours on the pages we read. If you choose a FUNDI Loan as the payment method on a FUNDI Shop order, Fundi says a consultant will contact you to help with the application, or you can visit a Fundi branch. To cancel a processed shop order, Fundi’s FAQ also gives 0860 55 55 44.
Product or service support
Fundi lends only for education. Its student loan page lists what a loan can pay for:
- Tuition fees for undergraduate, postgraduate, short course and distance learning study at accredited public and private institutions.
- Accommodation, both on and off campus.
- Laptops, tablets and other study tools, plus books and study materials.
Fundi also advertises school fees loans, device loans and MBA loans. For a device loan you pick a device from Fundi’s partner catalogue, upload your documents and, once approved, choose a delivery option. Repayment terms run from 6 to 36 months depending on the product and your eligibility. Fundi says its maximum APR stays within the National Credit Act threshold for developmental credit providers, that it charges no hidden fees, and that before you sign you receive a loan agreement setting out the interest rate and fees, your rights and obligations, and what happens if you pay late or not at all. Its educational loans page says approval comes within 24 hours of providing all the documents needed.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Fundi’s loan pages say these people can apply:
- Government employees, and private sector employees whose employer has a corporate agreement with Fundi.
- Parents, guardians or sponsors paying for a student’s education.
- Full-time or part-time students.
- Employed people paying to upskill.
Its education finance page adds that applicants must be South African citizens or permanent residents in permanent employment, and its terms say you must be at least 18 to use Fundi’s platforms. To apply, click Apply Now on the website, get an online loan estimate, review and submit it, and a Fundi team member then completes the process with you. The lender is Fundi Capital (Pty) Ltd, a registered credit provider, NCRCP 158, at Constantia Office Park, corner of 14th Avenue and Hendrik Potgieter Road, Weltevreden Park 1751.
Escalation route
- Call 0860 55 55 44 or email support@fundi.co.za, giving your ID number and loan reference, and keep a copy of what you send.
- If Fundi does not resolve a loan dispute, the National Financial Ombud Scheme handles credit complaints free of charge on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
- If repayments have become unmanageable, Fundi’s website reminds borrowers of their right to debt counselling and points to the National Credit Regulator on 0860 627 627 (www.ncr.org.za).
