Bosch lists six South African locations on its Bosch in Africa pages: Midrand, Cape Town, Brits, Natal, a Hagglunds location, and a BSH Home Appliances location. Note a naming trap on their own site: the BSH Home Appliances entry sits under a Midrand web address but the page itself gives the address as Sandton, at 24 to 28 Archimedes Street, Unit 4, Kramerville, 2090. If you are going in person for an appliance part, that is the Kramerville address rather than Midrand.
Services at this location
Midrand is the head office and covers the group functions. The other South African sites are specialised: Cape Town is described by Bosch as the sales and technical service centre for automotive, at Democracy Way, Prosperity Park, 7441. The BSH site handles household appliance sales, service and spare parts. So a query about a power tool, a car part, an appliance and a corporate matter can each belong to a different place, and calling the head office for a warranty repair usually means being redirected.
Parent organisation
These are Bosch group operations. Appliances are sold and serviced by BSH Home Appliances, which is a separate company within the group, so warranty terms and service routes for an appliance are theirs rather than the Bosch head office. For a consumer complaint about goods or a repair that is not resolved, the Consumer Protection Act applies and the National Consumer Commission is the escalation, and note that the Act gives a consumer rights on defective goods within six months of delivery. A dispute about work done on a vehicle at a franchised workshop is a motor industry matter and can go to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa on 0861 164 672.
