What Just Labels sells

The company has been making personalised labels in South Africa since 1996, and groups its range like this:

• School name labels: book labels, chair and book bag labels, large general labels, mini labels, stationery labels, wrap-around pencil labels and a pencil case transfer.
• Clothing labels: iron-on labels, magic clothing labels and sew-on labels.
• Shoe labels and bag tags: shoe labels, plain shoe labels, colour bag tags, mini bag tags and luggage tags.
• Label packs: starter, stationery, jumbo, pre-school, essential, boarding school and magic packs.
• Business: key tags and garment transfers in several sizes.
• Senior care labels: magic clothing labels and sew-on labels for care homes.

The senior care range is the one worth knowing about if you are moving a parent into a care facility, where every garment has to be named. It uses the same clothing labels as the school range.

What the packs contain

The packs are the quickest way to judge whether the pricing suits you. The Starter Pack, at R310, contains 50 iron-on labels, 6 large general labels, 99 wrap-around pencil labels, 10 shoe labels, 50 stationery labels and 2 bag tags. Chair and book bag labels start at R85 for a set of two, each 160mm by 100mm, in a choice of colour designs. A Grade 4 to 7 value pack of more than 550 stickers is listed at R60, with a processing time of three to five working days.

Just Labels says it sources its label materials internationally and tests them, and that the range is aimed at families, schools, businesses and senior-care communities.

Ordering

• Orders are placed on the website, and the site keeps your history under “my orders”.
• To repeat an order, open my orders, choose a previous order and select “order again”; it copies to the cart where each item can be edited before checkout.
• The site runs in English, Zulu, Afrikaans and Xhosa.
• There are how-to-apply instructions under Help, which matter for iron-on and transfer labels.

One thing to note: the FAQ page on the site was returning an error rather than content when we checked, so if you need an answer that would normally sit there, use the contact form or phone 031 266 1738.

Before you order

• Check the spelling of the name on the proof: personalised labels are printed to order and are not returnable for a spelling change.
• Order at least two weeks before you need them, given the five-day processing time plus delivery.
• Compare the collection point cost against courier delivery at checkout before paying.
