- Complaints about a property practitioner go to the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority, which replaced the Estate Agency Affairs Board

The Fidelity Fund Certificate check is the one that protects your money. A practitioner without a valid certificate is not entitled to earn commission, and deposits paid to an uncertificated agent fall outside the protection of the fidelity fund. Verifying takes a phone call and is worth making before any money moves.
