The court serving Potchefstroom hears matters at five places in all, its own building and four further venues, so the town name does not tell you where to attend.

Services and responsibilities

The four additional venues are Buffelshoek, Ikageng, Klerkskraal and the Potchefstroom Municipal Court. One number covers all of them, since they are sittings of the same court rather than separate offices.

Office and address information

The main building is on the corner of Peter Mokaba and Wolmarans Street, Potchefstroom, 2531, while post goes to Private Bag X923, Potchefstroom, 2520. The two codes are not interchangeable.

Applications and escalation

Potchefstroom falls in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda district, whose main seat is Klerksdorp on 018 464 9200. Orkney, on 018 473 2596, is a detached court in the same district. A matter may be administered at Klerksdorp even though it is heard at one of the Potchefstroom venues.
