Standerton Sars Contact Details

Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

SARS does not ask for your banking details or your eFiling password by email, SMS or telephone, and it does not send refund links. The refund message with a link is the single most common tax scam in South Africa, and it arrives most heavily during filing season.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory and is not the South African Revenue Service.

Rules that save people money

  • Log in by typing the address yourself. Never through a link in a message, however convincing the branding.
  • Being under the filing threshold does not always mean you should not file. A refund is often only paid to those who submit a return.
  • Keep supporting documents for five years. A verification request without them means the deduction is disallowed.
  • Penalties for late returns accumulate monthly, per outstanding return, and they continue whether or not tax is owed.

If you owe, or if you disagree

Debt can be arranged rather than ignored. Payment arrangements and, in some cases, compromise are available, but only if you engage. Collection steps including third-party appointments against your bank account follow silence.

An assessment you disagree with is disputed through the formal objection process, and there is a deadline. Phoning to complain is not an objection. If the dispute process is exhausted without resolution, the Office of the Tax Ombud handles service and procedural complaints free of charge.

Standerton is on the 017 code. Branch appointments and current filing dates should be confirmed on sars.gov.za, checked 25 August 2026.
