Common claims against the state
- Medical negligence at a state hospital, where records must be requested early because they take time.
- Unlawful arrest or detention, where the six-month notice period runs from the release.
- Damage caused by state vehicles or property.
- Road accident injuries, which go to the Road Accident Fund instead, on its own separate timetable.
