Checkers Contact Details
To contact Checkers, call 0800 00 6060 (Sixty60 Contact Centre) or 021 980 4000 (Shoprite head office switchboard), or email xtrasavings@checkers.co.za (Xtra Savings Support Centre).
Checkers runs three separate customer lines: one for general customer care, one for Sixty60 deliveries and one for Xtra Savings rewards. Picking the right one is the quickest way to a resolution. The numbers below were read on checkers.co.za and shopriteholdings.co.za on 14 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We are not Checkers and cannot see an order, a Sixty60 delivery or an Xtra Savings account.
Checkers customer care, Sixty60 and Xtra Savings contact numbers
| What it is for | Contact | Hours |

| Sixty60 Contact Centre (app orders, deliveries, returns, Xtra Savings Plus) | 0800 00 6060, help@sixty60.co.za | Every day 08:00 to 20:00 |
| Xtra Savings Support Centre | 0800 33 33 85, xtrasavings@checkers.co.za | Every day 08:00 to 18:00 |
| Queries and complaints in writing | “Send us a message” form on the Talk to us page of checkers.co.za | Checkers says to expect a reply within 48 hours |
| Shoprite head office switchboard | 021 980 4000 | Corporate matters, not shopping queries |
Checkers does not publish a general customer care email address or a WhatsApp number. Email addresses exist only for Sixty60 and Xtra Savings. One Checkers help article sends Xtra Savings card and profile problems to the Sixty60 line instead of 0800 33 33 85, so if one line cannot help, the other can usually transfer you.
Checkers Sixty60 deliveries and Xtra Savings rewards
Checkers Sixty60, launched in November 2019, delivers groceries through the app in about 60 minutes, and larger Checkers Hyper items the same day. Its service guarantee refunds the delivery fee if an order is more than 30 minutes late or arrives with less than 80% of the products you chose. Delivery problems, returns and Xtra Savings Plus subscription questions all go to the Sixty60 Contact Centre on 0800 00 6060 or help@sixty60.co.za, every day from 08:00 to 20:00.
Xtra Savings is Checkers’ free rewards programme; Xtra Savings Plus is a paid monthly subscription with free deliveries and extra offers. Card, profile and points queries go to the Xtra Savings Support Centre on 0800 33 33 85 or xtrasavings@checkers.co.za, every day from 08:00 to 18:00.
Property damage caused during a delivery is handled by Checkers’ delivery partner Pingo at claims@pingodeliver.co.za; driver accidents or incidents go to 0800 00 6060.
Shoprite head office address and store numbers
Shoprite head office is at the corner of William Dabbs Street and Old Paarl Road, Brackenfell 7560, Western Cape (postal: PO Box 215, Brackenfell 7561). The group’s own contact page sends customer queries back to the brand sites, so use the Checkers lines above for anything about a purchase. Privacy and access-to-information requests go to privacy@shoprite.co.za.
Individual stores publish their own phone numbers and trading hours in the store directory on checkers.co.za. Numbers for some commonly searched stores, as listed there on 14 September 2026:

Several stores share a name. Checkers also trades at Diamond Pavilion in Kimberley (053 802 4380) and at the Pavilion centre in Bredasdorp (028 425 5180), and Bloemfontein has five other Checkers and Checkers FX stores besides the Hyper. Confirm the branch in the store directory before you travel.
Checkers is a supermarket chain owned by Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, part of the Brackenfell-based Shoprite Group. The group’s store network also includes Checkers Hyper, Checkers FX, Checkers LiquorShop, Little Me, Checkers Outdoor, Petshop Science, Shoprite and MediRite.
Checkers trading hours and closing times
Checkers does not have one closing time for the whole chain. Trading hours are set per store, and the store directory on checkers.co.za (Browse Stores and Leaflets) shows the opening and closing time of each store for every day of the week. Enter your address or share your location there to see what time your nearest Checkers, Checkers Hyper or Checkers LiquorShop closes today.
Most of the Checkers supermarkets in the table below are listed as open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day. Checkers Hyper stores close earlier: Checkers Hyper Montana at 19:00 on weekdays, 18:00 on Saturdays and 17:00 on Sundays, and Checkers Hyper Vanderbijlpark at 18:00, 17:00 and 16:00. Checkers LiquorShop stores keep shorter Sunday hours than the supermarket next door. The directory shows regular weekly hours only and lists no separate public holiday hours, so phone the store before a public holiday trip. The hours printed next to the Customer Care Line are call centre hours, not store hours.

Phone numbers and trading hours for commonly searched stores, as listed in the Checkers store directory on 13 October 2026. Checkers, Checkers Hyper and Checkers LiquorShop are separate store formats, and the name in the first column is the one Checkers uses.

How to complain to Checkers and when to escalate
For an in-store problem, speak to the store manager with your till slip. Log it with the matching Checkers line (customer care, Sixty60 or Xtra Savings) or the Talk to us form, and keep the reference number the form returns. To dispute the outcome of a Sixty60 return, Checkers says to call 0800 00 6060.
Checkers’ Sixty60 terms warn that you must never share your one-time PIN with anyone, and that you are responsible for activity on your profile. Nobody from Checkers needs your OTP to help you. If you think someone else is using your profile, contact the Sixty60 line straight away.
For a specific location, see our A to Z list of Checkers stores and branches.
