The Contact Us page lists the head office at 542 Main Reef Road, Cleveland, on +27 11 615 2588, and the call button in the site header dials that number. The homepage instead calls 26 Wolmarans St, Braamfontein the head office, with landline 011 057 8418, which the Contact Us page lists as the Braamfontein Pik ‘n Drop booking office. Either number reaches Mzansi Express; for general queries start with 011 615 2588.
Mzansi Express does not publish a WhatsApp number: the space for one on its contact page still holds a template placeholder, and so do the addresses for its Kadoma, Mutare and Chipinge offices. Do not trust a “Mzansi bus WhatsApp number” from a social media post or directory.

Mzansi Express sells tickets online through its booking system at travelticket.co.za/mzansiexpressonline, which shows live fares and departure times, and at its offices at the bus stations. Online payment is by 3D Secure card only.
When we searched the booking system for Johannesburg to Bulawayo on 2 October 2026, it showed two departures, both at an adult fare of R700 per person:
- Departs Johannesburg 14:00, arrives Bulawayo 04:30 the next day
- Departs Johannesburg 16:00, arrives Bulawayo 07:00 the next day
Fares are subject to change without notice, and Mzansi Express is bound only by the fare charged when you buy the ticket, so check the booking system for your travel date. The destinations in the booking system are Beitbridge, Bulawayo, Chegutu, Chipinge, Gwanda, Johannesburg, Mutare and Pretoria.
Refunds, children and frequent travellers
- Mzansi Express’s FAQ says tickets are non-refundable. Its booking terms are headed “No refunds will be given” but also say a deposit is refunded if you cancel before the final payment deadline. Tickets are non-transferable.
- Children under 12 must travel with an adult. Children under 1 travel free if they do not occupy a seat.
- Frequent-traveller offer: travel 5 times and get a free ticket.
