FreeCall lines

The City operates FreeCall lines at municipal and community buildings across Cape Town, which let residents reach the Call Centre at no cost. These are useful if you do not have airtime, since 0860 numbers are not free from a mobile phone.

When not to use the Call Centre

For fire, flood, rockfall and other environmental emergencies, call 021 480 7700 or 112 toll-free from a mobile phone rather than the Call Centre. Non-urgent service requests such as potholes and illegal dumping can be logged online through the City’s Service Requests Portal, which is usually faster than waiting in a call queue.
