Unifi is a consumer credit provider offering short-term online loans in South Africa. Before anything else, note the domain: Unifi operates from unifi.credit, not a .co.za address, and its client care mailbox sits on a za.unifi.credit subdomain. Both look unusual and both are genuine. Everything below was read from the Unifi South Africa contact page on 31 August 2026.
Official contact channels
- Telephone: +27 21 110 0600
- Client care email: [email protected]
- Address: 2nd Floor, Golden Mile Building, 265 Durban Road, Oakdale, Bellville, 7530
- Self-service: the My Unifi portal, plus published FAQs
The 021 dialling code is a Cape Town geographic line rather than a share-call number, so it is charged as a normal call and is reachable from outside South Africa as +27 21 110 0600.
Because the mailbox address is unusual, type it carefully – [email protected], with the country code as a subdomain. Any Unifi address ending .co.za should be treated with suspicion, since lookalike domains are a standard tactic against lenders.
What this organisation provides
Unifi provides short-term unsecured credit, applied for and managed online. Its published offer is loans of up to R12 000, with an incentive structure in which repaying and returning increases the amount available to you.
That structure is worth understanding before you borrow. A rising limit rewards repeat borrowing, so it is easy to roll from one loan into a larger one. Short-term credit carries proportionally higher costs than longer-term lending, and the National Credit Act caps what may be charged – ask for the total cost of credit in rands, not just the monthly instalment, before signing.
Before contacting Unifi, have your identity number and loan or application reference ready, and your most recent statement for a balance or settlement query. Applications and account management run through the My Unifi portal, which answers most balance and payment-date questions without a call.
Address and operating information
Unifi publishes a physical address at 2nd Floor, Golden Mile Building, 265 Durban Road, Oakdale, Bellville, 7530, in the Western Cape. It does not publish call centre operating hours, so assume weekday business hours and use email or the portal outside them.
Unifi operates across several African markets, which is why its main site is organised by country and why the South African contact details sit on a country-specific page. Make sure you are on the South Africa page before taking a number from it – the other markets publish their own.
Support and escalation routes
Raise the matter with client care first, in writing to [email protected] so the date is recorded, and keep the reference. For anything about a balance, a settlement figure or a debit order, written confirmation is what a later dispute will turn on.
Ask Unifi for its National Credit Regulator registration number – every registered credit provider has one, and you will need it to escalate. If it remains unresolved:
- Reckless lending, or the conduct of a registered credit provider: National Credit Regulator, 0860 627 627, [email protected]
- A dispute about the agreement, fees, interest or how the account was handled: National Financial Ombud Scheme, 0860 800 900, [email protected]
If repayments have become unaffordable, debt counselling under the National Credit Act is a formal option and the National Credit Regulator can explain it. Do not take a further loan to service an existing one – that is the pattern the affordability rules exist to prevent.
