Live Easy runs six buildings in Pretoria, and each one has its own phone number and its own email address. There is no single Pretoria switchboard, so you have to contact the building you actually want.

Live Easy lets long-term residential apartments, not nightly accommodation. ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory and is not Live Easy.

Pretoria buildings and their direct contacts

Two buildings on the same street, spelled two different ways

This is the single easiest way to end up at the wrong reception desk. Live Easy has two separate buildings on Johannes Ramakhoase Street, at numbers 113 and 116, almost opposite each other. They are different buildings with different phone numbers and different mailboxes.

The company’s own contact page also spells the street name two different ways, as Ramokhoase against number 116 and Ramakhoase against number 113. Both refer to the same street, which was formerly Proes Street.

The mailbox names do not match the building names

Live Easy markets its Pretoria buildings under names such as Madiba, Opera Plaza, Nana Sita, Batho Pele and Steve Biko, but several email addresses do not correspond to the marketing name. The mailbox for one Johannes Ramakhoase building is hd@, and one Nana Sita Street mailbox is unlocked@.

That is not a red flag in itself, but it does mean you cannot guess an address from a building name. Use the pairing in the table above, which is how the company itself lists them.

Every genuine Live Easy mailbox ends in @live-easy.co.za, with the hyphen. The company’s website is live-easy.co.za, and a request to pay into an account quoted from an address on any other domain should be treated as fraudulent.

This is a lease, not a booking

The distinction matters because the protections are different from those covering a hotel or guest house.

If a dispute cannot be settled with the building, the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal hears landlord and tenant complaints at no cost, including disputes over deposits, maintenance and unlawful lockouts. It is reached through the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements. Its rulings are binding.

Frequently asked questions

Does Live Easy have one number for Pretoria?

No. Each of the six Pretoria buildings has its own number and mailbox, listed in the table above.

Why are there two buildings on Johannes Ramakhoase Street?

Live Easy operates both 113 and 116. They are separate buildings with separate numbers, and the company spells the street name differently for each.

Is Live Easy short-stay accommodation?

No. These are long-term residential apartments let on a lease, so tenancy law applies rather than the rules covering hotel bookings.
