My Debt Hero (Pty) Ltd is a South African debt review and debt management service. The contact details below were read from mydebthero.co.za on 2 September 2026.
Official contact channels
- WhatsApp: 067 082 3505
- Support tickets: the contact form on mydebthero.co.za/support
- Data and database queries: [email protected]
There is no phone line. My Debt Hero publishes one WhatsApp number and lists it for both sales and support and admin – the same number for both – and routes existing clients through a support ticket instead. If you are expecting to call and speak to someone, that option is not offered.
The accounts address above is published in the privacy policy for editing or removing your information from their database. It is a data-protection route, not a general customer service mailbox.
What this organisation provides
My Debt Hero works with people in debt to consolidate repayment and deal with creditors, and states it has worked with over 14,000 people. Its support ticket categories show what it actually handles day to day: statement requests, account queries, debit order queries, changing banking details, creditors who keep calling, complaints, letters received from a creditor, and document submission.
“Creditors keep calling” being a standing ticket category tells you something useful – it is a common enough experience during debt review to have its own option, and it is the right thing to log rather than to field yourself.
Address and operating information
My Debt Hero publishes no physical address, no postal address and no operating hours on its website. The registered entity is My Debt Hero (Pty) Ltd.
Because there is no published address, a formal letter of demand or legal notice has no confirmed destination. If you need to serve something, ask them in writing for their registered address first.
Support and escalation routes
Ask for the NCR debt counsellor registration number before you sign anything. Under the National Credit Act, only a debt counsellor registered with the National Credit Regulator may place you under debt review, and registered counsellors carry an NCRDC number. We did not find one published on My Debt Hero’s home page, support page or privacy policy on the date above – which is not proof of anything either way, but it does mean you cannot verify it from the website alone. Request the number, then check it against the NCR’s public register.
Two more things worth understanding before committing. Debt review is recorded against your credit profile and, while you are under it, you cannot take new credit – that is the mechanism working, not a fault. And fees are regulated: debt counselling charges are capped by the NCR, so ask for the fee schedule in writing and compare it against those limits.
Raise a dispute through the support ticket first, keeping your reference. If it is unresolved:
- The National Credit Regulator regulates debt counsellors and handles complaints about them
- The National Financial Ombud Scheme handles credit and debt disputes free of charge
- The National Consumer Tribunal hears matters referred under the National Credit Act
- A personal information complaint goes to the Information Regulator
