What Mams FM broadcasts and how to reach the studio

Mams FM is a community broadcaster serving Mamelodi, describing itself as the station with the Mamelodi lingo. It carries community programming, local news and information, and sells advertising through its own Ads With Us channel. Listeners can reach the studio directly on the studio line during broadcasts, or send a message on the SMS short code.

Where Mams FM is and its published email and website

The station is at Block A, Mamelodi Plaza, Mahube Valley, Mamelodi East, 0122. Note the discrepancy in its published contact block: the station gives its website as mamfm.fm but its email address as info@mamsmf.fm, and those two domains do not match. Neither could be confirmed independently, so treat the email address with caution and use the studio or office line if a message goes undelivered.

Complaints about Mams FM broadcasts

Programming and advertising queries go to the station itself on the numbers above. Community radio in South Africa is licensed by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, which is the regulator for a complaint about a station licence or its signal. Complaints about the content of a broadcast are handled by the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa for broadcasters that subscribe to it, and otherwise by ICASA. Raise the matter with the station first and keep a note of the date and time of the broadcast, since a complaint about content cannot be assessed without it.
