Hyphen Debt Review Contact Details
If you are under debt review in South Africa, your single monthly payment goes to a payment distribution agency, which splits it among your creditors. There are exactly three of them in the whole country, and Hyphen is the first. All three are listed on the National Credit Regulator’s public register, read on 7 September 2026 – which matters, because the agency holding your money is one of a very short list and is easy to verify.
The three registered payment distribution agencies
- Hyphen Technology (Pty) Ltd – NCRPDA1. Telephone 011 303 0060. Inanda Greens Office Park, 2nd Floor, 54 Wierda Road West, Inanda, Sandton, 2197
- DC Partner (Pty) Ltd – NCRPDA2. Telephone 044 873 4530, fax 086 638 9079. 59 Victoria Street, George, 6530
- Intuitive PDA (Pty) Ltd, trading as iPDA – NCRPDA3. Telephone 012 004 2888. Shop 27, Lower Level, 73 Skilpad Road, Monument Park, Pretoria, 0181
All three carry a final registration date of 25 April 2017 and all three were registered on the day this page was checked. Hyphen Technology’s company registration, 1987/006392/07, shows a business considerably older than its PDA licence – the licensing regime came later than the company.
Hyphen does not put you under debt review
This is the distinction that sends people to the wrong number. A debt counsellor assesses you, negotiates with creditors and takes the matter to court or the Tribunal. The payment distribution agency only receives your monthly instalment and pays it out. Hyphen cannot change your repayment plan, cannot remove a creditor, cannot answer why a particular amount was proposed, and cannot end your debt review. All of that belongs to your debt counsellor, whose NCRDC number should be on your paperwork.
What Hyphen can tell you
- Whether your payment arrived, and on what date
- How the payment was split between creditors, and what each received
- What was deducted in fees before distribution
That distribution statement is the document worth asking for. It is the only place the split is visible, and it is how you check that a creditor claiming non-payment was in fact paid.
Two checks worth doing
- Confirm which agency holds your money. If the name on your debit order is not one of the three above, ask your debt counsellor why – money under debt review should be flowing through a registered PDA.
- Look the agency up yourself. The NCR publishes the full payment distribution agency register free at ncr.org.za, and with only three entries it takes seconds to confirm a name and an NCRPDA number.
