MTN Insurance Contact Details

Verified 14 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

MTN device insurance is not handled by MTN’s own call centre. Claims and policy queries go to the insurance administrator, Admyntec, and the policy itself is underwritten by an insurer, Santam on MTN’s current device insurance wording and Guardrisk on some other products. This page covers the claims line, the deadlines that decide whether a claim is paid, and the complaints route. Details were read from MTN’s device insurance terms on mtn.co.za on 14 September 2026.

ContactDetails.co.za is independent and cannot see your policy. For MTN’s other lines, see MTN contact details.

The claims number is in cellphone format, but it is the administrator line printed in MTN’s own policy terms. Admyntec Services is a juristic representative of Worldwide Advisory Services (FSP 12964), based in Bryanston.

Product or service support

MTN’s device insurance wording lists these cover options: Mobile All Risk, Liquid and Accidental Damage, Repair Only, Loss and Theft Only, Router All Risk, and an Excess Buy-Down add-on that halves the excess, for example from R1 000 to R500. On Repair Only cover, if a repair would cost more than 70% of the insured value the device is treated as beyond economical repair, nothing is replaced and the policy ends.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Missing a deadline is the most common reason a claim fails. The policy terms require you to:

  • report the loss or damage to the administrator within 30 days
  • for loss or theft, report it to the police within 48 hours and have MTN deactivate the SIM and blacklist the device
  • supply all documents within 90 days of the claim, or it is rejected

Premiums are collected by debit order or on your MTN subscriber agreement. Cover stops if a premium is not paid, and the insurer can cancel the policy with 31 days’ written notice. Check your policy schedule to see which insurer underwrites your cover.

Escalation route

  1. Raise the complaint with Admyntec at mtncomplaints@admyntec.co.za.
  2. If Santam is your insurer, contact Santam Client Care on 086 010 2725 or complaints@santam.co.za, and then its internal arbitrator at internal.arbitrator@santam.co.za.
  3. If the insurer does not resolve it, go to the National Financial Ombud Scheme on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.

To report suspected insurance fraud, the policy lists Santam’s confidential fraud line, 0860 600 767.
