Capitec Internet Banking Contact Details
Capitec does not run a separate internet banking helpdesk. Online banking problems, including a lost token, a sign-in that fails or a profile photo that has changed, go to the 24-hour Client Care Centre. The most important detail for online banking is the address itself: Capitec asks clients to type direct.capitecbank.co.za manually rather than follow a link. Details were read from capitecbank.co.za on 14 September 2026.
ContactDetails.co.za is independent and cannot access accounts. For Capitec’s other lines, see Capitec contact details.

Product or service support
Capitec’s online banking has no monthly subscription fee. Its online banking page lists these functions, which often save a call:
- disputing debit orders up to 40 days old
- approving or declining DebiCheck requests
- stopping a lost card and changing card and digital limits
- downloading statements and tax certificates
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Capitec’s online banking security page sets out how sign-in works:
- Two-factor authentication is chosen when you register: either the Capitec app or a keyring token. Token passwords expire quickly and work once, and you need one to sign in, pay, add beneficiaries or update your profile.
- Your username is the account number linked to your online banking profile. Capitec may ask for it on the phone, but never your password or PIN.
- Your password is 6 to 18 letters and numbers, and is replaced by your 5 or 6 digit Remote PIN once you register on the app.
- App sign-in to online banking asks for a selfie and a QR code scanned inside the app. Capitec says it never asks you to scan a QR code sent to you.
Online banking shows the photo taken when you opened your account. If that photo has changed without your knowledge, Capitec says to stop transacting and call 0860 10 20 43 immediately.
Escalation route
- Log the problem with the Client Care Centre and use Capitec’s online feedback form.
- If it is not resolved, escalate to complaintmanagement@capitecbank.co.za, which is Capitec’s second complaint step.
- Capitec’s own complaints page then names the National Financial Ombud Scheme, on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za.
