Official Absa HR and careers route
Absa makes job applications only through its Workday jobs portal, which is linked from absa.africa/careers. The portal lets you search and apply for open positions across Africa. There is no HR mailbox for sending a CV.
Graduate programmes, internships and bursaries have their own section at absa.africa/careers/graduate-opportunities/. For any other HR question, the careers page’s “Contact us” block gives the head office switchboard, +27 (0) 11 350 4000, and the head office address at 7th Floor, Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg, 2001.
What you need before contacting Absa HR
Decide first whether you are applying for a job, applying for a graduate programme, internship or bursary, or have another HR query. Applications need to go through the jobs portal or the graduate opportunities section, so the switchboard is only useful for questions that the portal cannot answer. When you call, say which department or query you need so that the switchboard can route you.
Step-by-step contact process
- Search and apply for vacancies on the Absa jobs portal at absa.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/ABSAcareersite.
- For graduate programmes, internships and bursaries, use absa.africa/careers/graduate-opportunities/.
- For other HR queries, call the head office switchboard on +27 (0) 11 350 4000 and ask to be routed.
- If someone offers you an Absa job and asks for money, report it to the Absa Fraud Hotline on 0860 557 557.

Absa does not publish a separate HR escalation line. Use the head office switchboard or write to PO Box 7735, Johannesburg, 2000.
