The switchboard, 011 476 8570, is also the number FASSET gives for its departments: grant payment queries go to the PQA Department, and employers who want access to graduates should ask for the Projects Department.
Lifelong learning enquiries go to lifelonglearning@fasset.org.za. FASSET also runs three online portals: the Learner Portal (learner-portal.fasset.org.za), the ODOO LMIS stakeholder portal (portal.fasset.org.za) and Invoice Management (invoices.fasset.org.za).
Services and responsibilities
As the SETA for finance and accounting services, FASSET handles skills development grants, learner programmes and employer levy matters for the sector. Points FASSET makes on its site:
- FASSET receives levies 3 to 4 months in arrears.
- Mandatory Grant payments are scheduled for February, May, August and November.
- To change the banking details for grant payments, you need an original stamped bank letter or an original cancelled cheque.
- Inter-SETA transfers use the IST 01 form, submitted to the SETA the company is currently registered with. The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and then SARS process it.
