Woolworths Silver, Gold and Black credit cards are issued by Woolworths Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (WFS), a joint venture in which Absa holds 50% plus one share, and the card accounts are banked at Absa.

Official Woolworths credit card route
For account questions on a Woolworths credit card, call the WFS Call Centre on 0861 50 20 20. To receive your credit card statement by email instead of by post, Woolworths asks you to call 0861 50 20 05. Written queries can go to queries@wfs.co.za. The Woolworths app shows all your WFS products in one place and lets you make payments.

Paying your card and other support
- From an Absa account: pay your 16-digit Woolies Credit Card number as the bill account number.
- From another bank: make an EFT to the Absa account shown on the WFS payment options page (woolworths.wfs.co.za/covidrelief/paymentoptions.aspx), with your 16-digit card number and no spaces as the reference.
- In person: pay at any Woolies store or any Absa branch.
- By debit order: email your banking details to payments@wfs.co.za, and WFS will set up a debit order for your minimum payment.
To ask for a credit limit increase, email your latest bank statement or payslip to cliproofofincome@wfs.co.za with your ID number as the reference. An agent will call you, or you can call 0861 50 20 40 for further help.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
To apply for a Woolworths credit card (Silver, Gold or Black), Woolworths says you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- earn at least R2 000;
- have a bank account and a valid South African ID;
- not be insolvent or under debt counselling.
Proof of residence must be no older than 3 months and may not be an ABSA or Woolworths statement. Application documents such as proof of income go to income@wfs.co.za.
