What Hoopla Loans provides
Hoopla is a broker. It sends your one application to many lenders, and lenders may then contact you by phone, email or SMS with a decision, typically within 1 to 4 hours during office hours. Hoopla lists three loan bands:
- Payday loans: R100 to R8,000, up to 6 months
- Personal loans: R8,001 to R20,000, over 6 to 24 months
- Long-term loans: R20,001 to R250,000, over 12 to 60 months
You must be 22 or older with a regular income to apply. Hoopla charges no application fee, but panel lenders may add an initiation fee to the loan.
Because Hoopla is a broker, a search of the NCR register for “hoopla” shows it as not registered as a credit provider or debt counsellor. Your credit agreement is with the lender that approves you.
