The EFF head office number is 011 403 2313 and the party’s email address is info@effonline.org. Head office is Winnie Madikizela-Mandela House, 119 Marshall Street, Marshalltown, Johannesburg. That one number is the only telephone number the Economic Freedom Fighters publish anywhere on their website. We read this on effonline.org on 24 September 2026.

The number and address appear in the header and footer of every page on the site, which is a good sign: it means they are maintained rather than buried on a stale contact page. There is no separate contact page, and the address effonline.org/contact-us returns a not-found error, so the footer is the place to look.
011 is a Johannesburg landline code. The number is charged at normal rates and there is no toll-free alternative.
There are no provincial numbers
The EFF publishes a Provincial Command Teams page covering all nine provinces, and it is the obvious place to look for a local contact. It is worth knowing what is actually on it before you go there.
We checked the whole page. It contains exactly one telephone number, and it is the head office number above. Not one provincial office, region or sub-region has a phone number of its own.
What it has instead is 136 individual email addresses for named officials. So if you want to reach the party in a province, email is the only route, and head office on 011 403 2313 is the only number that will ring.
Why we do not reproduce those addresses
Those 136 addresses are personal mailboxes belonging to named individuals, and we do not republish personal contact details. That rule applies here regardless of the fact that the party has published them itself.
There is a second, practical reason, and the numbers make it plain. Of the 136 addresses:
- 126 are Gmail addresses
- Five more are on other free webmail services such as Yahoo
- Four are government work addresses, on domains such as gov.za, belonging to people who also hold public office
- Not one is on the party’s own effonline.org domain
That last point is the important one. A free webmail address cannot be verified as belonging to the party, because anyone can create one using any name. There is no technical difference between a genuine official’s Gmail address and an impersonator’s, which is precisely the gap that gets exploited when money or membership is involved.
One of the 136 is on the domain gmaim.com, a misspelling of gmail.com. That address will simply bounce, and it shows the list is transcribed by hand rather than generated from a maintained system.
If you do use an address from that page, go to effonline.org and copy it from the party’s own site each time, rather than from a directory or a forwarded message. And treat anything asking you for money as unverified until head office confirms it.
The Labour Desk page is down
The EFF runs a Labour Desk, described on the site as offering help and advocacy on labour issues.
When we checked, effonline.org/labour-desk returned a 502 Bad Gateway error, so no contact details for it could be read. The page is linked from the main menu and from the services section, so the link is not wrong; the page itself is failing.
Until it comes back, a labour matter has to go through head office on 011 403 2313 or info@effonline.org. Say in the first line that it is for the Labour Desk.
Membership
Membership is handled by an online application form on the site rather than by phone or email, so head office cannot sign you up over the telephone.
The form asks for your name, email, nationality, mobile number, identity number, gender, race, employment status and qualification, along with a full address including your voting district name or number and ward number, and your province, region and sub-region down to local municipality level. Membership runs for a two-year period.
Have your ward and voting district details ready before you start, because those are the fields people usually have to go and look up halfway through.
Because the form collects an identity number, make sure you are on effonline.org itself and not on a lookalike address before you complete it.
Who sits at head office
Knowing the structure helps you address correspondence correctly, even though approaches go through the general channels above.
The party’s national leadership consists of six positions: President and Commander in Chief, Deputy President, National Chairperson, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and Treasurer General. Below that sit the nine provincial command teams, and below those the regional and sub-regional structures reflected in the membership form.
Address a letter to the office rather than to a person. Office-holders change, and a letter addressed to a position outlives the person who currently holds it.
