Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest game reserve, nearly two million hectares in Mpumalanga and Limpopo, managed by South African National Parks (SANParks). The contact details below were read from the SANParks Kruger contact page on 2 September 2026.
Official contact channels
- Admin office: +27 (0)13 735 4000
- Emergency call centre: +27 (0)13 735 4325
- SANParks reservations: [email protected]
- Customer care: [email protected]
- Honorary Rangers, Skukuza: +27 13 735 5638, for information and advice before a visit
- Per-camp contacts: the Camp Contacts listing on sanparks.org
The emergency number is the one to save before you travel. SANParks asks that rule breakers and other incidents be reported to the Kruger Emergency Call Centre on 013 735 4325 – not to the admin office, which handles administration.
Each rest camp publishes its own number and office hours through Camp Contacts. For anything about a specific camp – a late arrival, a gate query, a problem with a unit – that camp’s number is faster than the park switchboard.
What this organisation provides
Kruger offers accommodation across multiple rest camps, day visits, guided activities and self-drive game viewing, with rates and entry fees, travel information and live webcams published on the SANParks site.
Book through SANParks directly. Accommodation is reserved centrally through [email protected] or the SANParks booking system – camps do not take their own bookings, and a “Kruger booking” offer from a third party is not the park.
Frequent visitors should look at the Wild Card, SANParks’ annual access scheme, before paying daily conservation fees repeatedly.
Address and operating information
The park’s administrative centre is at Skukuza, its main camp. SANParks does not publish blanket park operating hours on the contact page, because gate times change with the season – entry and exit are governed by published gate hours, and arriving after closing means being turned away.
The nearest private hospital listed for the area is Clinix Phalaborwa Private Hospital, +27 (0)15 101 3000 or 3059. Worth noting before a trip: much of the park is hours from medical care, and mobile coverage is patchy.
Support and escalation routes
Raise a booking or billing matter with SANParks reservations, quoting the reservation number, and a camp-level problem with that camp directly. Escalate unresolved matters to [email protected] in writing.
Report poaching, rule breaking or a safety incident to the emergency call centre rather than by email – those are time-critical.
SANParks is a public entity, so maladministration can be taken to the Public Protector. It falls under the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, and a consumer complaint about paid accommodation may be taken to the National Consumer Commission.
