Motsepe Foundation Contact Details
The only phone number on the Motsepe Foundation’s website is its office landline, 011 324 1500 (+27 11 324 1500). The foundation asks people to use this number to check anything that claims to come from it. We read motsepefoundation.org on 16 September 2026.

The foundation’s website gives no email address, WhatsApp number or physical address. Email addresses, WhatsApp numbers and street addresses found on other sites cannot be checked against it, so do not send documents or money to them. The only WhatsApp use on the website is groups that the bursary team runs for students who already hold a bursary. There is no public WhatsApp line.
What this organisation provides
The website describes the foundation’s work as education, community development, entrepreneurship and social cohesion in South Africa. Its FAQ is direct about what it does not do:
- Funding requests: the foundation and its trustees choose and start the projects they fund, and say they are currently not accepting proposals.
- Community and infrastructure projects: the foundation works with schools and churches in 26 underserved districts, chosen using criteria such as population size and academic results.
- Bursaries: learners come from selected schools in those districts and are chosen on academic merit and financial need. The site publishes a list of anchor schools. Bursaries cover tuition, accommodation and study materials, and do not have to be repaid.
- Young entrepreneurs: the annual Golden Circle, held with the Information and Opportunities Youth Expo, lets entrepreneurs under 35 pitch for a cash injection. The foundation also points entrepreneurs to the Milken-Motsepe Prize.
- Women’s networking events: the Centre for Gender Equality, Wellness and Leadership (GEWAL) runs these by invitation only, through its affiliated organisations.
The bursary process runs online. You pass an academic pre-screening, create a profile, upload certified documents and follow your application’s status in the student portal. When we read the site, the new bursary application form was marked as being in private testing. Watch the website for the official opening.
Address and operating information
The Motsepe Foundation does not publish a street address, postal address or office hours on its website, so this page does not give one. If you need to deliver something or visit, call 011 324 1500 first and ask the office for its details. Do not rely on an address from a social media post or another directory.
Support and escalation routes
The foundation’s FAQ has a section called “SCAMS”. It warns that the co-founders, Dr Patrice Motsepe and Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, do not have personal social media accounts. It also says all Motsepe Foundation projects are announced on its website and official social media pages. Anyone messaging you as Dr Motsepe is not him.
- Check any offer, grant, bursary or giveaway against motsepefoundation.org and its linked accounts.
- If it is not there, call the office on 011 324 1500 before you reply, pay anything or share your ID number, bank details or a one-time PIN.
- If you have already paid or shared documents, tell your bank at once and report the fraud at your nearest police station. Report the fake profile to the platform where you found it.
The foundation is a private organisation, not a government department, so no ombud reviews its funding decisions. Only the foundation can answer questions about a bursary outcome, through the student portal.
