PayShap Contact Details
PayShap has no consumer call centre: for help with a PayShap payment, contact your own bank, for example Absa on 08600 08600 or Nedbank on 0800 555 111, and use info@payinc.co.za only for questions about the PayShap website. PayShap describes itself as an instant, easy and safe interbank digital payment service available through participating banks; it is not a bank, and its website is run by PayInc, formerly BankservAfrica.
Problems with a payment, such as money sent to the wrong ShapID or a payment that has not arrived, must go to the payer’s or payee’s own bank. The PayShap Help Centre publishes each participating bank’s support route for this reason.

Official contact channels
The PayShap contact list has 14 entries covering 13 participating banks. The banks that give a phone number or email on the list are shown in the table above. These banks are listed with a PayShap web page only, with no number on the list:
- African Bank: africanbank.co.za/en/home/payshap
- Capitec: capitecbank.co.za/personal/transact/payshap/
- Discovery Bank: the PayShap section of discovery.co.za/bank/info-and-tips-payments
- FNB: fnb.co.za/ways-to-bank/digital/fnb-pay.html
- HBZ Bank: separate personal and business PayShap pages
- Standard Bank: standardbank.co.za
Nedbank’s entry also links to its PayShap page at personal.nedbank.co.za/payshap.
The “Need help?” link on the PayShap website opens an email to info@payinc.co.za. PayInc’s own website uses a separate mailbox, websupport@payinc.co.za, for website support. Neither is a route for disputing a payment.
What PayShap provides
PayShap lets you make instant payments between accounts at different participating banks. Payments can be made to a ShapID, and the PayShap website has two guides for this: “Set up your ShapID” and “Pay to ShapID”. You set up and use PayShap through your own bank’s app or banking channel, since PayShap is available only through participating banks.
Address and operating information
PayShap does not publish a physical address, postal address or support hours. For hours, check your own bank’s support channels. The PayShap website’s footer reads “PayInc. All rights reserved”, and its content is served from BankservAfrica’s systems.
Support and escalation routes
- Contact your own bank using the number or PayShap page in the lists above.
- If the problem is with a payment you received, the other person should contact their bank.
- If your bank does not resolve it, use that bank’s own complaints process. OM Bank, for example, lists complaints@ombank.co.za.
PayShap and PayInc do not publish a separate escalation line for consumers. For other payment and business contacts, browse the business hub or the business directory P listings.
