PG Glass runs two separate outlets in Midrand, and they are not the same address or the same number. The full fitment centre sits in Midrand Motorcity; a smaller satellite site sits on the corner of Old Pretoria Road and the K101. Check which one you have been booked into before you drive.
Official contact channels
- PG Glass Midrand: 011 805 0954, Midrand Motorcity, cnr Old Pretoria Main and Scale Road
- PG Glass Satellite Midrand: 087 405 7791, cnr Old Pretoria Road and the K101
- National contact centre: 0860 03 03 03
- Cash deals: 0860 04 04 04
- Fleet and trade: 0860 05 05 05
- General email: [email protected]
The three 0860 lines are not interchangeable. A cash job quoted on the fleet line, or a fleet account raised on the cash line, is the usual reason a caller gets transferred twice. Pick the line that matches how the work is being paid for.
What this organisation provides
- Windscreen replacement and chip repair
- ADAS recalibration, required on vehicles with camera-based driver assistance after a windscreen is replaced
- Side and rear window replacement
- Windscreen wipers, paint protection film and smash-and-grab film
- Building and home glass, aluminium products through PG Aluminium
The recalibration point is the one that catches people out. If your car has lane-keeping, adaptive cruise or automatic emergency braking, the camera usually sits on the windscreen, and replacing the glass without recalibrating it leaves those systems reading the road through a sensor that no longer knows where it is pointed. Ask whether recalibration is included in the quote, not after the job.
Address and operating information
- Midrand fitment centre: Midrand Motorcity, cnr Old Pretoria Main and Scale Road, Johannesburg
- Midrand satellite: cnr Old Pretoria Road and the K101, Midrand
- No branch-specific trading hours are published for either Midrand site
- Nearby PG Glass sites include Woodmead, Sunninghill, Rivonia and Fourways
- Bookings and quotes can also be started through the form on the PG Glass website
Because neither Midrand site publishes its own hours, phone before travelling rather than relying on general retail hours. The satellite and the fitment centre are separately staffed, so one being open tells you nothing about the other.
Support and escalation routes
- Service complaints: [email protected]
- Building and home glass enquiries: [email protected]
- PG Glass trades under the PG Group
- Insurance-funded work is authorised by your insurer, so a dispute over what is covered goes to the insurer, not the fitment centre
- Unresolved motor-related workmanship complaints go to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa on 010 590 8378
Keep the two disputes apart. Whether the claim pays is your insurer, and beyond them the National Financial Ombud on 0860 800 900. Whether the work was done properly is the fitment centre, and beyond them MIOSA. Sending the wrong complaint to the wrong body costs weeks.
