What happened to Sasol Inzalo shares

Sasol Inzalo was Sasol’s B-BBEE ownership scheme. It unwound in June 2018 after its 10-year period, and Sasol Khanyisa replaced it as Sasol’s B-BBEE ownership transaction.

  • Inzalo Public shareholders received one Sasol Khanyisa public share for every Sasol Inzalo share they held, at no cost.
  • SIPBEE shares were delisted from the JSE in September 2018.
  • Because the Sasol share price did not grow enough to settle the funding, no net value was created from Sasol Inzalo for funded Public and Groups participants.
  • In 2028, or earlier if the funding is settled, Sasol Khanyisa public shares will be exchanged for SOLBE1 shares on a fair-value basis. Holders may keep or sell those shares.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

The helpline deals with holders of Sasol Khanyisa shares, which includes former Sasol Inzalo Public and Groups holders who were moved into Sasol Khanyisa.
