What Sasol Khanyisa provides
Sasol Khanyisa needed no upfront payment from shareholders. Sasol funded the shares by loan. Of the dividends from Sasol South Africa, 97.5% goes to repay that loan and 2.5% is paid to shareholders.
The shares cannot be sold until the transaction ends in June 2028. At the end they become Sasol BEE Ordinary shares (SOLBE1).
Updating your details
To update your details you need proof of address, proof of identification and proof of banking details. Under the simplified FICA requirements, that means:
- a selfie of you holding your South African ID;
- a service bill less than three months old;
- a stamped bank confirmation in the shareholder’s own name. Third-party accounts are not accepted.
When a shareholder dies
The shares pass to heirs, who must be Black persons or Black-controlled entities. The executor sends JSE Investor Services the death certificate, the executor appointment letter and ID, and the Estate Late bank details.
