SSS Cellular sells and repairs phones and other devices from a base in Boksburg. It publishes one telephone number and one fax number side by side, and the two are easy to mix up.
Official contact channels
- Telephone: 011 894 4100
- Fax: 0862 745 447
- Enquiry form on the contact page at ssscellular.co.za/contact-us
- Repair status tracking and repair booking under the Repairs menu at ssscellular.co.za
- Store list: ssscellular.co.za/stores-near-me
- Live chat on the website
Only 011 894 4100 is a voice line. The 0862 number that appears immediately next to it on the same contact panel is labelled FAX on the company own page, so it will not connect if you dial it expecting to speak to someone. SSS Cellular publishes no email address on its contact page; written contact goes through the enquiry form instead.
What this organisation provides
The business sells smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, earphones and accessories, along with routers, MiFi and Wi-Fi equipment, solar panels and back-up power, and it lists pre-loved devices as a separate category. Named brands include Huawei, Samsung, Oppo, Apple and Longi Solar, and it advertises Telkom deals and a dealer login for trade customers. On the repair side it describes itself as offering level 4 certified repairs, covering touchscreen and glass replacement, combined touch and LCD repair, water damage, charging faults, software flashing, network, camera, sensor and microphone repairs, plus a diagnostic service where the fault is unclear.
Address and operating information
Unit 36 and 37, N12 Industrial Park, 188 Dr Vosloo Road, Bartlett, Boksburg. The company adds a practical warning of its own: use 28 Dr Vosloo Road as the GPS destination rather than 188, because the numbering will otherwise take you to the wrong place.
Trading hours close for lunch, which catches people out. Monday to Thursday it is open 08:00 to 12:00 and again from 13:00 to 17:00. On Friday the afternoon session starts half an hour later, from 13:30 to 17:00. Saturday is 08:00 to 13:00 and Sunday is closed. Dropping a device for repair over the midday break is not possible.
Support and escalation routes
Track an existing repair through the repair status page before phoning, since that is the fastest answer for the most common query. For a problem with a device or a repair, raise it with the branch on 011 894 4100 first. If it is unresolved, a dispute about goods or a service falls to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud on 0860 000 272, with the National Consumer Commission above it. Keep in mind that the Consumer Protection Act gives a six month implied warranty on goods and on repair work, which is separate from any manufacturer warranty on the handset itself, so a repair that fails shortly after collection is a claim against the repairer rather than the brand.
