The Tech Shop Mr Uzzi Contact Details
The Tech Shop trades under the Mr Uzzi name, selling televisions, TV boxes and consumer electronics online and delivering nationwide. It grew out of a social media following rather than a shopfront, and its contact details reflect that: everything runs through a mobile number, a WhatsApp line and free web mailboxes.
The Tech Shop contact details
- Telephone: 065 861 8107, published under the Mr Uzzi trading name
- WhatsApp, listed as the business contact: 071 231 6412
- Email: mruzzitv@gmail.com or mruzziofficial@gmail.com
- Online store: thetechshopsa.com
Note that these are two different numbers. The 065 number is the one on the contact page and the 071 number is the one given for WhatsApp, so a message to the wrong one may go unanswered.
What the store does not publish
There is no physical store address and no company registration number anywhere on the site. That is not unusual for an online-only seller that ships from a warehouse, but it does change what you should do before paying, because there is no counter to walk into and no registered entity name to check.
Before you pay for anything
- Pay through the checkout on thetechshopsa.com rather than by EFT to an account sent over WhatsApp; a card or gateway payment gives you a dispute route that an EFT does not
- Get the delivery timeframe, the courier and the tracking arrangement in writing before paying, not after
- Ask what the warranty is on the specific item, who honours it, and where a faulty unit must be returned to
If banking details ever arrive by message, treat them as unverified and confirm by voice on the number above before transferring anything. Payment redirection is the most common loss on mobile-first online sellers, and an EFT once sent is very hard to recover.
Your rights on an online purchase
The Consumer Protection Act gives you a cooling-off right on most goods bought at a distance: you may cancel within seven business days of delivery and return the goods, and the supplier must refund you, though you may bear the cost of returning them. Separately, goods must be of good quality and fit for purpose, and you have six months to return something defective for a repair, replacement or refund, with the choice being yours rather than the seller.
If something goes wrong
- Raise it first on 065 861 8107 or the WhatsApp line, in writing, keeping the order number and screenshots
- For an undelivered order paid by card, ask your bank about a chargeback and do it early, since card scheme time limits are short
- For an unresolved consumer complaint, the National Consumer Commission handles complaints against suppliers
