UCT Online High School delivers CAPS-aligned schooling for Grades 8 to 12 and adult matric, entirely online. The contact routes below were read from its own site on 2 September 2026.
Official contact channels
UCT Online High School publishes no public telephone number and no public email address. Contact is by design routed through the website chat and the signed-in portals, which is worth knowing before searching for a switchboard that does not exist.
- Website chat: opens automatically on the contact page, or via the chat icon in the corner
- Existing learners and guardians: the Learner Portal and Guardian Portal
- Prospective learners: the Apply Now and Download Info Pack routes on the site
- System status: a published status page for platform outages
The contact page asks first whether you are an existing learner or guardian, and routes accordingly – so answering that question is the first step rather than an obstacle.
Admissions and student support
Enrolled learners are assigned a Support Coach, reachable by email and WhatsApp through the Learner Portal. The school states the coach is available Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 (SAST).
Three routes exist and they are not interchangeable, which is the most useful thing to understand here:
- Support Coach – non-subject questions, staying on track, holistic guidance
- Tech Support – platform and technical issues
- Subject Specialists – academic and subject questions, through the subject forums
Sending an academic question to a Support Coach, or a technical fault to a Subject Specialist, adds a hand-off. The school also publishes a fees page, a high school cost calculator and free guides for prospective families.
Campus and address information
There is no campus. The school is 100% online, so no street address applies and there is nowhere to visit – which is also why no reception number is published.
Support runs on South African hours, 08:00 to 17:00 weekdays, and the school states responses typically arrive within 24 hours.
Escalation routes
Raise a matter with the Support Coach first, keeping the thread in the portal so there is a record. Escalate in writing through the same channel if unresolved.
Accreditation is the thing to verify before enrolling, and this school publishes it: it is a SACAI-registered institution, with accreditation by Umalusi, the quality council for general and further education. A matric certificate’s value rests on that chain.
An unresolved complaint about an independent school can be taken to Umalusi on quality and accreditation, or to the provincial education department where the school is registered. A fees or contract dispute is a consumer matter for the National Consumer Commission.
