Official Unisa IT support route

Unisa splits its technical support by problem:

• myModule and Moodle: email mymodule22@unisa.ac.za. Messages sent through myUnisa and myHelp are auto-forwarded to this mailbox.
• MFA and myLife sign-in: email myLifehelp@unisa.ac.za.
• Data queries: email dataqueries@unisa.ac.za.
• Anything else: email enquire@unisa.ac.za or call 0800 00 1870.

The toll-free line is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00. Unisa announced a new contact centre platform, going live on Monday 12 January, and kept the same toll-free number. Its website also has live chat, self-help and a chatbot, but the chatbot covers only application, registration, exemption and final year audit questions.

The 0800 075 278 number in the Unisa site footer is the Ethics Hotline, not IT support.

What you need before contacting Unisa IT support

Have your student number ready. When you email any Unisa address, put your student number in the subject line so the message routes to an advisor, and send each enquiry to one address only.

If you cannot log in, try the self-service tools first. The myUnisa site lets you claim a Unisa login, reset a forgotten Unisa password, recover a forgotten student number, and reset external marker or eTutor passwords.
